Most Awesome Save-the-Date EVER!

I was extremely lucky in being able to help out in the realization of this awesome save-the-date – brainchild of Nora and Garratt, one of the cutest couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with.

Garratt, a robotics engineer, and Nora fend off swarms of zombies with the help of their robot army and pet hedgehog, Leonard (turns out he actually has his own website)! The piece is done entirely in sumptuous sumi ink on heavy watercolor paper. This is possibly the most romantic project I’ve ever worked on. 🙂 These two are obviously meant for each other.

This is a piece I recently finished for Luca Maria Mastrantonio, for a horror-story compilation she’s publishing in Italy. She wrote the script, and I supplied the zombies. These are the first zombies I have drawn, ever. Hopefully it doesn’t show too badly.

At last count I’ve inked seventy pages this summer for the Virgin Project II. Kevin and I are hoping to get the whole book (140 pages+) in print by next march. Between this project and my final semester and BFA show, I should stay busy!
